Well then, I am only 0.2 lbs away from my goal this week, which isn't bad at all! I made sure to step on and off of the scale several times and was pleased to see that 155 was the weight that came up the most. If I keep on track with what I'm doing, I may very well be at my goal weight in June, which is very exciting!
Obviously, I've been doing pretty well the past week. I've been exercising when I should, and tonight I plan on pushing myself a little harder when I'm at the gym. I've been trying to get up to the point where I can run for a 1/2 hour straight, but I can't do it quite yet. I think I'm in the need of some new running shoes; I plan on getting those within the next few months.
I've also been managing to keep my portions fairly low, but not depriving myself of anything. I drink a lot of water -- I've had two sodas the past week, both this weekend -- and make sure that I stay hydrated during the day. I've also gotten into a habit of taking my lunch break at the park and walking 2 miles around the track, which definitely help to relieve stress and kick-start my metabolism again. And now that warmer weather has graced Southern California once again, I don't have to worry about it being too damn cold for me to go walking!
I did "cheat" a bit this week; I've been daydreaming about eating a really good cheeseburger, and tonight Erica and I went to get one from the new Five Guys that opened up out here. It was amazing but oddly, I don't feel too full. Yes, the burger was fatty and yes I'll probably feel a bit disgusted later, but it tasted amazing. I was very, very happy to finally eat a cheeseburger.
Erica asked me what I was going to treat myself with if I met my goal. I'm not sure yet ... maybe a cute bikini? Honestly, I was going to be happy knowing that I met my goal.
Okay, time to get ready for the gym tonight, and then it's wine and Lost with Erica tonight! Woohoo!
