I know, it's been quite a while since I updated with anything besides my Sunday Weigh-Ins. Truth is, work has been keeping me busy (not to mention quite stressed!) and I haven't had much motivation to 'blog'. After work, I usually eat dinner, chat on the phone, basically try to calm my mind until bedtime so that I don't wake up in the middle of the night as if I'm having a nightmare.
Stress can suck it but I know it's something that I have to deal with in life, unfortunately. I'm constantly trying to find ways to reduce my stress, and the only one that seems to consistently work is exercising. I know, surprise surprise right? It also helps that I have great friends who are more than willing to listen to me rant.
One of the awesome things that I have been able to accomplish this past week is walking 3 miles nearly every day during the work week. I walked 3 miles from Monday through Wednesday, 4 miles on Thursday (thanks to a "Walk-n-Talk" I did), and 2 miles on Friday. That's a total of 15 miles just from walking! I made absolutely sure that no matter what, I did some sort of walking each day, especially since I didn't get a chance to work out too hard when I got home. It feels awesome to know that I walked 15 miles last week, that's for sure. Doing it during my lunch period at work also helps calm me down and clear my head, so I highly recommend it.
Tomorrow's is The Big Day. I want to see 145 on the scale when I step on it. Anything from 145.0 - 145.9 will do for me, but I will be absolutely thrilled with 145.0. I have worked hard for this goal, dammit. I went from eating unhealthily to managing portions and making sure I got enough exercise during the week. I'm so close that I can almost taste it. And you know what? It tastes like the most perfect strawberry. YUM.
